Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis in a Bury primary school. The role involves supporting teaching and learning, including targeted SEND interventions and whole-class activities.

The successful candidate will join a welcoming school community and contribute to pupils’ academic and social development while adapting to different year groups as needed. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a primary school setting is preferred.
• Understanding of SEND and inclusive classroom practice.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Aspire People is working in partnership with a successful and growing Multi Academy Trust in Bury to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a full-time position within one of its primary schools.

The successful candidate will work within a classroom setting, with the specific year group determined by their strengths, experience and the needs of the school. You will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the class, whilst also providing targeted support to pupils with additional needs where required.

This is a varied role requiring someone who can balance whole-class support with more focused interventions, helping pupils develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
• Have previous experience working within a primary school setting
• Be confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities
• Have an understanding of SEND and inclusive classroom practice
• Be adaptable and able to work across different key stages if required
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Be committed to helping every child succeed
