Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant in Oldbury to join a SEND school on a full-time, long-term basis from September. You will support secondary-aged students with autism and complex needs, delivering high-quality support inside and outside the classroom while promoting engagement, independence and progress.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent, with experience supporting children or young people with SEND.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly autism and complex needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Experience supporting students with communication and behaviour needs.
• A patient, caring and proactive approach.
• A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Support secondary-aged students with autism and complex needs inside and outside the classroom.
• Work closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality support.
• Encourage student engagement, independence and progress.
