Job summary

Vetro Recruitment represents a reputable Christian primary school in Liverpool seeking two Level 2 Teaching Assistants on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2027. You will support pupils with SEN, helping them progress toward EHCP outcomes and develop independence.

You will collaborate with teachers and professionals to monitor progress, plan personalised activities, and promote inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in supporting teaching and learning.
• Experience working with children with SEN or in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, health & safety, and GDPR.
• First-aid training or willingness to complete it.

Responsibilities

• Supporting a pupil with SEN to work towards their education and health care plan (EHCP) outcomes.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, promoting independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion.
• Assisting with behaviour management and supporting routines, transitions, and emotional needs.
• Contributing to the planning and delivery of personalised learning activities aligned with EHCPs.
• Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to monitor progress and adapt support strategies.
