Job summary

Education Impact Academy Trust invites applications for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant at The Hive College in Erdington, Birmingham. This permanent role offers 32.5 hours per week (5 days) or 26 hours (4 days) term-time only, with a Grade 2 salary (£25,614–£27,709 FTE) plus SEN allowance pro rata.

We are looking for a candidate with a good level of English and Maths, strong pastoral care skills, and the ability to support teachers and individuals or small groups.

Qualifications

• A good level of English and Maths
• A good understanding of how students learn and develop in education
• The ability to support teachers in meeting the needs of all students, including mentoring, pastoral care and assisting with the physical care of students as and when required
• The ability to work with individuals and small groups of students
• Excellent communication and written skills with high expectations of learning and behaviour
• The ability to support students in the classroom and whilst out in the community

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in meeting the needs of all students.
