Job summary

The Martin Bacon Academy in Northstowe, Cambridgeshire, is seeking Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistants to support students with diverse learning needs and promote inclusion across the school. Working with the Class Teacher and SEND team, you will help provide access to learning and encourage participation.

The role requires a caring, proactive approach, strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Have a good educational background.
• Be confident in supporting children with a range of learning needs and/or challenging behaviours.
• Experience in working with children across all key stages, using initiative and providing evidence of successful outcomes.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills to make and sustain positive relationships with staff and children.
• Be a team player, with a 'can do' solution focused attitude.
• The interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, pupils, parents and others.

Responsibilities

• Provide Support to Students to access learning and encourage interaction and independence.
• Work closely with the Class Teacher and Class Team to support the inclusion of children.
• To create and maintain an inspiring, appropriate, safe and stimulating learning environment.
• To promote the well-being and holistic educational progress of all pupils, through a variety of teaching styles.
• Be active in promoting our visions and values and supporting our ethos for achievement for all and high standards.
