GKN Aerospace, based at Western Approach in the UK, is seeking a Level 2 NDT Technician to inspect and evaluate A350XWB and A400M carbon wing spars and related components. The role utilizes semi-automated and manual phased array ultrasonic testing within a 7-day fortnight shift pattern with a 28% shift allowance.
You will perform semi-automated, manual phased array and manual pulse-echo ultrasonic inspections, ensuring safety compliance and aerospace quality adherence while supporting the NDT
Due to a continued growth in business, we have an exciting and career defining opportunity for a Level 2 NDT Technician to join the team in Western Approach. This site is an International Centre of Excellence in composite wing structure design and production, manufacturing composite wing spars and Fixed Trailing Edge assemblies for some of the world's most popular aircrafts.
The successful applicant will inspect and evaluate the A350XWB and A400M carbon wing spars and their associated components throughout the manufacturing process.
These inspections will utilize semi-automated and manual phased array and conventional pulse echo ultrasonic testing techniques.
The successful candidate will work a 7 day fortnight shift pattern, which includes 28% shift allowance:
WK1: Monday / Tuesday / Friday / Saturday / Sunday
In this position, you will carry out Semi-Automated, Manual Phased Array and Manual Pulse Echo Ultrasonic Inspection of carbon fibre composite wing spars and associated components.
