Job summary

Protocol Education are seeking a Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Watford primary school on a long-term, full-time basis after half term. You will support Nursery or Reception pupils, assist with phonics and early literacy, and help create a safe, caring learning environment.

The ideal candidate holds Level 2 TA or EY qualification, has EYFS experience and a solid grasp of the EYFS Framework, plus strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification.
• Experience working within an EYFS setting.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework.
• Patient, caring and enthusiastic approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for helping children succeed.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children within Nursery or Reception classes.
• Delivering targeted interventions and small group activities.
• Encouraging learning through play and exploration.
• Assisting with phonics, early literacy and numeracy development.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Supporting children's social, emotional and communication development.
