Job summary

Summerfield Care Home in Branston is seeking an Apprentice Commis Chef to train in our busy kitchen, earning while you learn and gaining a Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship.

You will work 20 hours per week at £8.00 per hour, with a pay rise after one year for 19+ year olds, and complete online and in-person training with a dedicated tutor leading to the apprenticeship standard qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents following menus and dietary requirements.

• Carry out basic food ordering and stock rotation to minimise waste.
• Maintain records for temperature checks and stock sheets.
• Liaise with staff regarding meal times and resident needs.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety.
