Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group in Alvechurch, Birmingham, is seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team. This full-time role offers 38 hours per week across four days, with a day off, at 49 Swan Street, Alvechurch.

You will create a warm, nurturing environment, plan EYFS activities, and build strong relationships with children and families. DBS checks and right-to-work verification are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• DBS check and right to work in the UK required.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records for parents.
• Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.
• Be a team player, guiding apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.

Pay: £25,806.56 - £26,201.76 per Annum. based on experience (38 hours per week).

Nestled in a grand converted house with breath-taking views of rolling fields, Sandhills Day Nursery Alvechurch offers a truly unique environment for any child’s early years. Across our seven main playrooms, each designed to foster a child’s curiosity and development, our nursery is a busy but passionate environment to work in. Conveniently situated within 30 minutes of Birmingham city centre, just 2 minutes from junction 2 off the M42 in the beautiful village of Alvechurch. There is an ample area for staff to park.
