Lettings Project Officer
- Hourly Rate: PAYE £17.85 / UMB £22.59
- Location: Minimum 3 days in office/on‑site across 3 locations in Westminster
- Job Type: Temporary (until February with possible extension)

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Lettings Project Officer to deliver a targeted lettings project for a portfolio of Intermediate Market Rent and London Affordable Rent properties across three blocks in Westminster. The successful candidate will manage the end‑to‑end lettings process, ensuring effective coordination with Westminster City Council and compliance with contractual arrangements to achieve timely and compliant lettings outcomes.
This role will suit someone with a combination of housing association and/or private sector lettings experience. You will be dealing with viewings, sign‑ups, land registry and must be able to multi‑task, solve problems - this is more than just a lettings role!
Day‑to‑day of the role:
- Lead all aspects of marketing, nomination requests, applicant management, and lettings for a defined portfolio.
- Liaise effectively with Homes for Westminster and Westminster Housing Solution Service to secure and manage nominations effectively.
- Assess eligibility and affordability of applicants in line with policy and agreement terms.
- Manage viewings, offers, pre‑tenancy checks, and onboarding of new residents, providing a professional and customer‑focused experience.
- Liaise closely with the voids team to ensure void works are completed to an appropriate standard and homes are ready to let with all compliance checks completed and certified.
- Manage any snags post‑viewings and commission Land Registry lease plans to enable entity transfers before lettings take place.
- Complete regular checks of void properties, ensuring the correct keys are available in key safes at all times.
- Maintain accurate records and trackers of lettings activity, communication, and compliance checks using internal housing management systems.
- Update Governance and other internal stakeholders on the transfer of properties for inclusion in RSH quarterly returns.
- Provide accurate information for internal and stakeholder reporting.
- Support process improvements and learn from the project to refine future lettings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Good understanding of nominations processes with local authorities and registered providers.
