Lift Schools seeks a Lettings Officer to connect community groups with our facilities, managing bookings and ensuring safe, ready-to-use spaces. The role involves evening and weekend work to match the lettings schedule in our Birmingham area schools.
You will handle enquiries, issue contracts, coordinate with school teams, and promote our facilities while keeping records and invoices up to date. Prior experience in a similar role and good safeguarding awareness are essential.
Are you someone who enjoys bringing people together and making great things happen in your local community? Lift Four Dwellings Secondary are looking for a Lettings Officer to help connect our facilities with the people who need them, while keeping students and visitors safe and everything running smoothly.
We are looking for two Lettings Officers on a casual basis to join our team.
Led by Principal Claire Stoneman, the school has undergone significant transformation and improvement. We are proud to be known as a “small school with a big heart”, where students are supported in a nurturing and ambitious environment.
Recent highlights include:
Most improved school in South Birmingham for progress in 2024
Among the most improved schools nationally
A recent Good Ofsted judgement
The best GCSE results in the school's history
Our school values are built around the Three R's:
Respect – treating others with kindness and dignity
Resilience – persevering through challenges
Responsibility – taking ownership of our actions and our futures
These values underpin our culture and guide the way we support our students every day.
As our Lettings Officer, you will be the friendly face of our facilities, guiding community groups, sports clubs, and local organisations through the booking process from first contact to event day. You will look after our lettings calendar, handle bookings, and make sure our spaces are ready and safe for everyone who uses them. This role offers real variety—mixing customer service, planning, and hands‑on support—and includes some evening and weekend work to match our lettings schedule.
You will have experience in a customer‑facing role, ideally with community groups or schools, and feel confident managing bookings or calendars. You will be comfortable using IT systems like email and online platforms, and have a good understanding of safeguarding and health and safety. Strong communication skills are essential—you will need to build trusted relationships with hirers, colleagues, and visitors. Can you stay calm under pressure, manage your time well, and take the initiative when things need sorting?
