Location: Whitehaven
Contract: Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (includes 1 in 4 Saturdays with the following Monday off in lieu)
Salary: Competitive + commission scheme

We’re working with a well-regarded property business in Cumbria looking for a Lettings Negotiator for a fixed term maternity cover position. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills who thrives in a busy and varied environment.

This is a fast-paced, front-facing role where you’ll handle everything from enquiries and viewings to preparing tenancy paperwork and ensuring full compliance. You’ll work closely with the wider property and lettings team, providing a smooth and professional experience for both tenants and landlords.

This role would suit someone with previous lettings or estate agency experience, or someone from a strong customer service background looking to develop their career in property. A full UK driving licence is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage front desk and reception duties, offering a high standard of service
• Respond to lettings enquiries and conduct property viewings
• Prepare rental appraisals, tenancy agreements and referencing checks
• Coordinate move-ins and tenancy commencements
• Maintain compliance with legislation, policies and industry standards
• Build strong working relationships with tenants, landlords and stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth processes
• Generate new business and contribute to team income targets

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in lettings or estate agency is desirable
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
• High levels of organisation and attention to detail
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Good IT skills relevant to lettings and property admin
• Full UK driving licence
