Job summary

City St George’s Sport and Wellness Service is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee CitySport’s daily operations, staff supervision, and customer service excellence. The role includes supporting membership sales, lead generation and outreach, while ensuring health and safety standards are upheld.

The ideal candidate will have leisure/sport or similar customer-facing experience, strong communication skills, and a willingness to work early mornings, late evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused and organised individual with leisure/sport/customer-facing experience.
• Experience supervising staff, delivering excellent customer service, and following health and safety procedures.
• Confident communicating with customers, generating and converting sales leads, using leisure management systems, and working with data.
• Able to work early mornings, late evenings and weekends on a rolling rota.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of CitySport, supervising staff and maintaining high service standards.
• Act as a key contact for customers and handle escalations, openings/closings, and events support.
• Support sales activity through tours, membership enquiries, lead generation, onboarding and retention, working toward targets.
