Job summary

City St George’s, University of London is seeking a Duty Manager (Support) to supervise CitySport operations, ensure high service standards and promote active lifestyles among students, staff and the local community.

The role requires experience in customer-facing environments, team supervision and health and safety procedures within sport or leisure settings, plus a First Aid at Work qualification. You will work a 35-hour week on a rolling rota, with early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing environments, team supervision and health and safety procedures in sport, leisure, fitness or related setting.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills; ability to manage competing priorities and work across multiple activities.
• A First Aid at Work qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of CitySport and supervise operational staff.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and administer the Leisure Management System.
• Process bookings and payments, support events and programmes.
• Manage equipment setup, respond to customer enquiries and monitor standards.
• Contribute to membership growth, reporting and community engagement activities.
