Job summary

Potters Resorts is seeking a friendly Leisure Club Assistant to join our Five Lakes team. You will support the Leisure Club, pool and gym operations, focusing on delivering exceptional guest experiences in a busy resort environment.

Experience in a face-to-face customer service role is essential. Shifts include weekends and bank holidays, with open hours from early morning to evening, and a competitive hourly rate based on age.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly service to guests at all times.
• Assist with day-to-day operation of the Leisure Club including pool and gym.
• Support Leisure Supervisor and motivate team to deliver 5-star service.
• Perform regular audits and quality checks of facilities and address shortfalls.
• Maintain highest cleanliness standards across poolside, changing rooms and gym.
• Ensure safety by supporting health & safety standards and security of equipment.

About the role

About the Leisure Club Assistant role;

Responsibilities

• To provide a friendly service to our guests at all times
• To have a robust understanding of the day-to-day operation of a Leisure Club including; Pool & Gym.
• To support the Leisure Supervisor delivering exceptional customer service, building a rapport with our resident Guests, and leading and motivating the Leisure team with the delivery of our 5 star service standards
• Ensuring that attention to detail reflects our professionalism; you will be expected to carry out regular audits and quality checks on all Leisure Club, Gym, and Swimming Pool facilities, addressing any shortfalls and ensuring that our 5star operational standards are maintained at all times
• Ensuring that cleanliness is kept to the highest standards on poolside, changing rooms, sports and leisure facilities, gym and spectator areas.
• Ensure the safety of all guests and team members by supporting the compliance and delivery of all company health and safety standards and systems, meeting all legal obligations as well as ensuring the security of equipment, chemicals and plant rooms

• Previous experience in a face-to-face customer service role, ideally within a leisure, fitness, or hospitality environment

• A flexible attitude, with a willingness to support cleaning duties and maintain high standards across the Leisure Club
• The ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient in a busy environment

Customer service experience is essential to be considered for this role. Whilst no formal qualifications are required for this role, we are looking for individuals who bring the right attitude, energy, and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Experience

Experience within a leisure club, gym, or similar environment would be advantageous, but is not essential - full training will be provided.

Working Hours & Schedules

• Leisure Club is open from 7.45 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.
• You will work 32 - 40 hours per week over 5 days to include weekends and bank holidays.
• Shifts will be worked between 10.30am - 7.30pm (usually a combination of 10.30am - 7pm or 3pm - 7pm)

Rates of Pay

• Rates of pay - Based upon age:
• £12.71 per hr - Over 21
• £10.85 per hour - 18 - 20

Requirements to Apply
