Job summary

Holiday Inn Guildford is seeking a reliable Leisure Cleaner to join our team. You will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the hotel's leisure club, ensuring facilities are well maintained and hygienic for members and colleagues.

The role requires attention to detail, punctuality, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to support ongoing wellbeing and comfort for guests.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the leisure club to a high standard including gym and fitness areas
• Clean swimming pool surroundings, changing rooms and showers
• Maintain reception and communal areas in a tidy condition
• Vacuum, mop and sweep floors to keep the environment hygienic
• Dust, wipe and sanitise surfaces throughout the club
• Disinfect gym and leisure equipment according to hygiene standards
• Identify faults or concerns and report to the Leisure Club Manager
• Follow health and safety procedures to protect members and staff
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required
• Maintain accurate records and paperwork
• Demonstrate pride in a thorough, high-standard finish
• Support a calm, respectful, professional working environment

We are looking for a reliable, thorough and conscientious Leisure Cleaner to join our team. This role plays a vital part in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment where members and colleagues can feel comfortable, relaxed and confident using our facilities. What You’ll Be Responsible For Cleaning all areas of the leisure club to a consistently high standard, including:

• Gym and fitness areas
• Swimming pool surroundings
• Changing rooms and showers
• Reception and communal areas
• Vacuuming, mopping and sweeping floors to maintain a hygienic and welcoming environment
• Dusting, wiping and sanitising surfaces throughout the club
• Cleaning and disinfecting gym and leisure equipment in line with hygiene standards
• Ensuring all cleaning equipment is kept clean, safe and well maintained
• Identifying and reporting any faults, damage or concerns with facilities or equipment to the Leisure Club Manager
• Following all health and safety procedures to protect members, colleagues and yourself
• Supporting the opening and closing of the leisure club when required
• Maintaining accurate records and completing required paperwork in a timely and organised way
• Takes pride in doing a job thoroughly and a high standard
• Understands that cleanliness and hygiene are essential to people feeling safe and comfortable
• Enjoys working independently while contributing to a wider team effort
• Is dependable, punctual and takes responsibility for their work
