Job summary

LGH Hotels Management Limited, operator of Holiday Inn Guildford, is seeking a reliable Leisure Cleaner to join our team. You will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment across the leisure club facilities, contributing to guest comfort and wellbeing.

This role involves hands-on cleaning of gym, pool, changing rooms and receptions, following health and safety procedures, and supporting opening/closing duties.

Responsibilities

• Clean gym and fitness areas to a consistently high standard.
• Clean swimming pool surroundings and changing rooms.
• Clean reception and communal areas.
• Vacuum, mop and sweep floors to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Dust, wipe and sanitize surfaces throughout the club.
• Clean and disinfect gym and leisure equipment per hygiene standards.
• Keep cleaning equipment clean, safe and well maintained.
• Identify and report faults or concerns with facilities or equipment.
• Follow health and safety procedures to protect members and colleagues.
• Assist with opening and closing the leisure club when required.
• Maintain accurate records and complete paperwork in a timely way.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Cleaning all areas of the leisure club to a consistently high standard, including:

• Gym and fitness areas
• Swimming pool surroundings
• Changing rooms and showers
• Reception and communal areas
• Vacuuming, mopping and sweeping floors to maintain a hygienic and welcoming environment
• Dusting, wiping and sanitising surfaces throughout the club
• Cleaning and disinfecting gym and leisure equipment in line with hygiene standards
• Ensuring all cleaning equipment is kept clean, safe and well maintained
• Identifying and reporting any faults, damage or concerns with facilities or equipment to the Leisure Club Manager
• Following all health and safety procedures to protect members, colleagues and yourself
• Supporting the opening and closing of the leisure club when required
• Maintaining accurate records and completing required paperwork in a timely and organised way
