Legacy Leisure is seeking a Trainee Duty Manager to support the centre’s operations, health and safety, and customer care standards. You will help develop innovative leisure programmes and assume shift management responsibilities under the supervision of a Duty Manager.

The role offers training opportunities in leisure management, coaching, and staff development, with potential to progress to a Duty Manager position within a growing leisure organisation.

Qualifications

• Desirable qualification in Leisure Management or related subject.
• Knowledge of health and safety, customer care and working with a small/medium enterprise.
• First Aid at Work and National Pool Lifeguard Qualification; training will be given; Pool Plant Operators qualification desirable or to be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the provision of a clean, high quality facility and exciting and innovative Leisure Centre programmes.
• Act as a member of the Leisure Centre Management Team on a shift rota system, during opening hours of the Centre.
• Ensure all Health and Safety procedures and responsibilities are carried out at all times.
• Deputise for the Duty Manager as requested.
• Assist in staff training and development and ensure contract objectives and financial systems are followed.
• Provide teaching and coaching courses for all operation areas, including recruitment and maintenance of a register of qualified coaches.
• Identify and assess feasibility of new activities for the Centre.
• Keep staff informed of Centre activities and events; maximise participation and monitor cost effectiveness.
