Job summary

GLL in Rugby is seeking a dedicated Duty Manager to join The Queens Diamond Jubilee Centre. You will lead front-line operations, support a busy leisure facility, and help deliver memorable experiences for members and visitors.

This role offers varied responsibilities, leadership development, and the chance to grow within a charity-owned organisation that values its staff, pays Living Wage rates, and provides extensive training and friendly teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering customer-focused service.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage shifts.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive image of the centre for customers and the public.
• Assist customers with facilities and activities and encourage usage.
• Prepare areas and equipment for sessions as appropriate.
• Control day-to-day operations and service of the centre; ensure security and cleanliness.
• Maintain good housekeeping and support energy conservation and resource maximisation.
• Supervise staff on shift and allocate work effectively.
• Oversee people management procedures (recruitment, absence reporting, appraisals, discipline).
