Job summary

Blackpool Council is seeking Leisure Assistants to supervise pool areas, ensure safety, and deliver high standards of customer service. The role requires constant vigilance of bathers and strict adherence to the facility's programme while maintaining a neat uniform and presentation.

You will maintain up-to-date NPLQ knowledge, complete daily paperwork, assist with memberships, and help implement safety and cleaning procedures. A DBS check and Right to Work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• NPLQ qualification or equivalent lifeguard training.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Vigilance and awareness of safety procedures around pool areas.
• Presentable appearance and clean uniform at all times.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool area and ensure safe, orderly operation of the facility.
• Maintain knowledge of the facilities programme and requirements for a multi-use venue.
• Complete daily paperwork and ensure equipment is safe and ready for use.
• Support membership drives and promote council facilities as directed.
• Adhere to DBS requirements and safeguarding procedures.
