Job summary

South Norfolk and Broadland Councils in Wymondham is hiring a Lifeguard to supervise the pool and dry side areas, maintain safety, and assist with classes and tours. You will support a busy team and promote a welcoming environment for the public.

The role requires RLSS/NPLQ qualification and a commitment to customer service. Shifts include early, late, and weekend work, and you must be able to pass a swim test. Salary is £25,948 per annum with benefits applied.

Qualifications

• RLSS/NPLQ National Pool Lifeguard qualification is required.
• Experience in a leisure centre or similar environment is desirable.

About the role

Wymondham Leisure Centre has some of the best facilities in the area, and each week we run over 90 classes as well as a popular 50-week swim school programme. We are looking to welcome a motivated individual with an interest in swimming, fitness and wellbeing to join us. You will be a valued member of our busy team, will work a range of shifts and will provide excellent customer service to members of the public.

The role will involve supervising and maintaining cleanliness of the pool and dry side areas, ensuring a safe environment for all areas. You will also be involved in setting up activities within the centre, assisting with tours from the public and schools and ensuring our facility is clean, well run and ready for business.

Our teams work across our leisure centres, so you need to have your own means of transport and enjoy this flexible working style.

About You

With an RLSS/NPLQ National Pool Lifeguard qualification (NPLQ), you will need good concentration skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with our customers. Previous experience in a leisure centre or similar environment, together with an awareness of Health & Safety and Safeguarding requirements within the leisure industry is desirable.

Please note that the shifts are a range of earlies, lates and weekends.
