Job summary
LQ Resorts is seeking a Lifeguard to join the Leisure team. The role focuses on pool supervision, enforcing rules, and maintaining a safe pool environment for guests. You should be proactive, safety-conscious and capable of delivering first aid when necessary.
Candidates must hold an up-to-date NPLQ, demonstrate strong swimming ability, and meet health and safety requirements. The position involves working within the Leisure Club and supporting guest experience.
Qualifications
- Must hold an up-to-date National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
- Safety conscious approach to poolside duties.
- Ability to stay calm and act quickly under pressure.
- Strong swimming ability and endurance.
- First aid and safety procedures must be current.
Responsibilities
- Supervise pool and poolside area to ensure user safety and enforce rules.
- Administer first aid to members/guests as needed.
- Conduct regular health and safety checks including pool tests and changing room checks.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Life Guard to join our Leisure team. The successful applicant must have a friendly, outgoing nature and be proactive in achieving the challenges set for them. They must maintain safety, to help prevent drowning and other injuries from occurring in or around the poolside area by keeping a full supervision.
- To supervise the pool and poolside area to help ensure the safety of its users, enforcing poolside rules where necessary.
- To administer first aid to members/guests where necessary
- To carry out regular health and safety checks such as pool tests and changing room checks
- To maintain a high level of cleanliness of the poolside area
- Report any maintenance or member issues to the line manager

- Must hold an up-to-date National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
- Current First Aid at Work Qualification Level 3

- Willingness to undertake further training.
- Knowledge of hotels industry
