Job summary

LQ Resorts is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to join the resort on a seasonal basis. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you will work with a small team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest experience across the resort.

You will clean bedrooms, corridors and public areas, replenish amenities, respond to guest requests, and follow health and safety guidelines while wearing a clean uniform.

Qualifications

Experience in housekeeping or hospitality is preferred.
Flexible shifts including weekends may be required.
Strong focus on cleanliness and guest experience.
Able to work well in a small team and independently.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel, guest bedrooms, corridors and public areas.
Enter and prepare rooms for cleaning, strip beds and collect soiled linen.
Replenish guest amenities and respond to guest requests.
Report maintenance issues within rooms and ensure trolleys and linen are refreshed daily.
Follow health and safety procedures and wear a clean uniform.

Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant

Department: Housekeeping

Reporting To: Housekeeping Manager

Primary Job Purpose:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeping Assistant to join the resort on a seasonal basis. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, and working as part of a small team, the successful candidate will have a flexible approach to work and will perform a variety of cleaning tasks across the resort, to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained. Candidates will work well under pressure to ensure tasks are completed on time with a commitment to providing the best guest experience at all times.

Roles and Responsibilities:

To be responsible for the cleanliness throughout the hotel and guest bedrooms, corridors and public areas including back of house areas
Enter and prepare the room for cleaning i.e. stripping beds, emptying bins, collecting dirty bathroom towels.
Ensure that cleaning is to the company standards
Replenish guest amenities as and when required
Respond to any guest requests
Report any maintenance issues within the rooms
Replenish work trolleys and clean linen on a daily basis
Ensure cleaning is consistent in every room
Working quickly and efficiently so guests’ rooms are ready on time for arrival
Maintain high standard of personal appearance and hygiene including wearing and maintaining a clean uniform at all times.
Follow all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook including any department specific procedures such as left luggage policy.
Be aware of and follow all Health and Safety procedures
