Job summary

OCS Group is seeking a Qualified Legionella Risk Assessor to survey and assess water systems across Aberdeenshire, providing clear risk analyses and practical recommendations. You will review monitoring data, prepare detailed reports, and work with contract teams to ensure compliant water hygiene management.

Applicants should hold a recognised Legionella Risk Assessment qualification and have hands-on experience with water systems, ACOP L8, HSG274, and BS8580.

Qualifications

• Recognised Legionella Risk Assessment qualification.
• Experience producing clear, accurate technical reports.
• Knowledge of domestic hot and cold water systems and water hygiene management.
• Working knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274 and BS8580 standards.
• Understanding legislation and guidance on Legionella risk management.
• Ability to read water-system schematics and building drawings.
• Experience using survey equipment and handheld devices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Legionella Risk Assessments across diverse environments.
• Survey water systems and identify potential risk sources.
• Review records and control measures; produce detailed risk reports.
• Create water-system schematics and asset inventories.
• Upload survey data to company systems and meet deadlines.
• Explain findings to customers and support operational teams.
• Attend site meetings and assist contract managers with queries.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assessment methodologies.
