Job summary

Marlowe Environmental Services, part of Mitie, is seeking a Legionella Risk Assessor to join our safety‑led team in Salisbury. You will deliver formal risk assessments across client environments, generating reports, drawings, and practical recommendations to reduce risk.

You will apply ACOP L8, HSG274, HSG282, BS8580-1:2019 and HTM 04-01, maintain compliance records, and support a culture of safety and operational excellence. A City & Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment qualification is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires City & Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment qualification.
• Experience conducting legionella risk assessments within water hygiene.
• Detail oriented compliance professional focused on delivering exceptional service.
• Strong knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274, HSG282, BS8580-1 and HTM 04-01.
• Proficient IT literacy and digital reporting.
• Ability to produce accurate schematic drawings and technical documentation.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality Legionella risk assessments to the highest professional standards.
• Use industry leading digital tools to capture, analyse, and report data efficiently.
• Produce schematic drawings and maintain accurate compliance records through delivery excellence.
• Provide clear, practical recommendations to support compliance and risk reduction.
• Build strong relationships with clients through professional, expert service.
• Support operational delivery to ensure contractual and compliance commitments are consistently achieved.
• Conduct assessments in accordance with ACOP L8 (4th Edition), HSG274, HSG282, BS8580-1:2019 and HTM 04-01 guidance.
• Supporting a culture of safety, accountability and operational excellence throughout the business.
