Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join a specialist water hygiene team covering sites across Scotland. The role involves carrying out Legionella risk assessments, general water hygiene tasks, and delivering clear technical reports.

A City & Guilds in Legionella Risk Assessment and ACOP L8 knowledge are required, with travel across Scotland. The position offers a competitive salary of £30,000–£34,000 plus a company van, and access to internal and external

Qualifications

• 2 years experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor or in a similar water hygiene role
• City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualification in Legionella Risk Assessment
• Strong knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274, and BS8580

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8, HSG274, and BS8580 guidance
• Undertaking general water hygiene tasks, including temperature monitoring, sampling, and system inspections
• Producing clear, accurate technical reports and recommendations for clients

Are you an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor looking to join a specialist water hygiene company, covering a varied portfolio of sites across Scotland?

We are working with an established water hygiene and Legionella control specialist based in Troon, and a registered member of the Legionella Control Association - recognised for delivering reliable, compliant, and high-quality water safety services to clients across a range of sectors.

What will you be doing?

• Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8, HSG274, and BS8580 guidance

What we are looking for:

• 2 years experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor or in a similar water hygiene role
• City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualification in Legionella Risk Assessment
• Strong working knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274, and BS8580
• Full UK Driving Licence
