Job summary

ILS seeks a Legal Technologist to join the Legal / Product Development teams in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on supporting private investment fund operations, gathering feedback, demonstrating the platform, and coordinating with software developers to drive feature delivery.

You will prepare analytics, release notes, and assist the in-house legal team with corporate matters. Strong project management, interpersonal, and MS Office skills are essential; some coding familiarity is desirable.

Qualifications

• Recognised Law degree or the GDL.
• Extensive experience utilizing legal technology in transaction management.
• Substantive legal work experience in private investment funds.
• Strong analytical, detail orientation and organizational skills.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to work longer hours on short notice when required.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

• Works with senior leadership in a product management role including monitoring and tracking the progress of customer requests and feature developments, collating feedback from prospective and existing customers and coordinating updates to ensure users are kept informed about platform enhancements.
• Liaises with customer legal and innovation teams.
• Reviews customer requests and identifies follow-up requirements.
• Manages timelines to ensure software development teams are aware of deadlines for feature delivery.
• Assists with testing new features and bug fixes.
• Participates in prototyping of new features for internal and external teams and gathers feedback.
• Prepares regular analytics for customers and summarises platform reports into clear insights.
• Draft and distributes release notes for each platform version.
• Assists in maintaining and updating customer acquisition tracking.
• Assists in-house legal with commercial contract review, employment contract review, NDA review and general corporate matters, including fundraising and investor relations.
• Assists Product Management teams with development and maintenance of know how materials in relation to client customizations and requests.
• Attends group meetings and training sessions.
• Other duties as assigned.
