Job summary

The Legal Technologist role sits in Surrey within the Technology & Data team, reporting to the CTO. It is a hands-on, hybrid position focused on process automation and legal-tech workflows as part of a firm-wide transformation. Expect two days per week in the office, with flexibility during settling-in.

You will translate lawyers' needs into practical solutions, support adoption, and own delivery across initiatives, collaborating with leadership and risk & compliance on trials and ROI.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering innovation or technology projects and supporting change management.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and support technology-enabled processes for priority practice areas, focusing on automation.
• Identify, prioritise and deliver innovation initiatives with leadership and transformation team.
• Gather requirements from legal teams and translate them into practical solutions.
• Co‑design and build internal and client-facing processes using the firm’s technology stack and training materials.
• Roll out new tools with collaborators on trials, deployment planning and ROI tracking.
• Develop business case and ROI processes to prioritise innovation projects.
• Lead communities of practice across legal teams and share best practices.
• Deliver training on legal technology and generative AI with Learning & Development and Knowledge teams.
• Provide hands-on support to lawyers on tools and workflows.
• Monitor developments in legal AI and identify opportunities for experimentation.
• Communicate progress to legal and business teams and promote new ways of working.
