About Our Client

Our Client is the Owner / Operator of Electricity Transmission Infrastructure, which is key in the UK and EU's Energy ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the business through development and negotiation of key contracts to minimize risk and maximize value, interacting with regulators, governments, industry associations, suppliers, shareholders, energy companies, and law firms.
• Coordinate legal aspects of project development: lease negotiations, transmission/local network connection agreements, fuel supply agreements, equipment procurement, energy off-take agreements, construction management agreements, PPAs, and legal structuring and negotiations with clients.
• Manage legal aspects of financing, joint ventures, and acquisitions: negotiation, drafting, reviewing documents, instructing external solicitors, and reviewing their work, as well as responding to due diligence questions.

The Successful Applicant

Qualified Lawyer with at least 5 years of experience as a Legal Counsel in a large company or law firm. Experience in utilities/power, construction/civil engineering sectors is preferred.
