Join a dynamic team as a Legal Cashier and play a vital role in managing financial transactions within a legal setting! We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and record financial transactions accurately, including client payments and disbursements
• Maintain and reconcile client accounts, ensuring all entries are precise and up to date
• Handle accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and payment approvals
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as required
• Liaise with clients, fee earners, and other departments to resolve discrepancies or queries related to financial transactions
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal policies regarding financial management
• Utilise accounting software for efficient transaction processing and reporting
• Conduct credit control and bank reconciliation
• Support the finance team with additional tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role within a legal or professional services environment is preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practises, particularly in a legal context
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
