Role Overview

We are currently seeking a part-time Legal Cashier / Finance Assistant to join our team at our North Leeds (Lawnswood) office, working up to 20 hours per week. This role involves managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with the relevant legal and financial regulations.

Some remote working is possible following the successful completion of the probation period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process legal financial transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain compliant and up-to-date accounting records
  • Ensure adherence to the Solicitors Accounts Rules and other regulatory standards
  • Use accounting software, including Xero and Sage, for financial tasks
  • Support billing and credit control processes
  • Prepare accounts and financial reports where required

Requirements(please read carefully)

  • Previous experience in a legal cashier role
  • Strong understanding of legal financial procedures and Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Proficiency in Xero and Sage
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • To be able to travel to and work in our North Leeds office at Lawnswood
  • Accounting or finance-related qualification
  • Experience with billing, credit control, and preparing accounts

Salary & Benefits

  • £14.00–£ 15.40 per hour (depending on experience)
