Property Law Partners in Woking is seeking a Legal Assistant to support our residential conveyancing team. You'll work on transactions from instruction to completion and learn through mentorship from experienced conveyancers.
This is a hands-on role with meaningful ownership of cases and a clear pathway to qualification. This position centres on drafting and reviewing documents, coordinating searches and enquiries, and liaising with clients, estate agents, and other solicitors' firms to progress
Property Law Partners is a modern, forward-thinking conveyancing practice built on the principle that residential property transactions should be handled with both rigour and genuine care. We've grown by listening to clients and colleagues alike—rejecting the outdated notion that conveyancing must be transactional and impersonal. Our Woking office serves a thriving client base across the South East, handling everything from first-time buyer purchases to complex chain transactions, and we're looking for a Legal Assistant to join our residential team during an exciting period of expansion.
This is an opportunity to become the backbone of a busy conveyancing operation whilst building real expertise in property law. You'll work alongside experienced conveyancers who are genuinely invested in mentorship, meaning you won't simply process files—you'll understand the reasoning behind every step, and you'll be trusted to take meaningful ownership of cases. The role offers genuine scope for learning and progression, whether you're considering a pathway to qualification or simply looking to become an indispensable part of the team.
Your day-to-day work will centre on supporting conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion. You'll prepare and review legal documentation, manage searches and enquiries with local authorities and third parties, liaise with clients, estate agents, and other solicitors' firms to progress matters smoothly, and maintain meticulous file administration and deadline management. You'll develop familiarity with our conveyancing software systems, spot-check transactions for accuracy and compliance, and handle the considerable administrative demands that keep complex property transactions on track. This is hands-on, detail-oriented work where accuracy directly impacts client experience and firm reputation.
We invest in our people's development. Depending on your aspirations and progress, you could move into a paralegal role with increasing responsibility, pursue Professional Qualification, or specialise further within residential conveyancing. Several members of our current team have progressed through similar entry points, and we genuinely support qualification routes whether that's the Legal Practice Course, the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination, or ILEX pathways.
