Based in Manchester City
On-site, 5 days a week

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Legal Administrator to support the day-to-day management of incoming legal work and case administration.

This is a busy role where you'll be responsible for making sure new cases are logged, tracked and progressed efficiently. You'll work across a number of systems, manage shared inboxes and liaise with colleagues, consultants and clients to make sure information is collected and cases are dealt with within the required timescales.

What you'll be doing
  • Managing incoming new work from a range of channels and ensuring cases are accurately logged and allocated.
  • Monitoring and managing legal services inboxes, responding to requests and making sure actions are followed up promptly.
  • Carrying out checks across multiple systems and ensuring all relevant case information and documentation is available.
  • Supporting the administration of Tribunal cases, including creating hearings and Case Management Orders.
  • Keeping case records and systems up to date throughout the life of a matter.
  • Updating and closing files accurately once matters have concluded.
  • Working closely with Litigation Executives, Consultants and clients where required.
  • Monitoring deadlines and making sure case documentation is obtained within the required timescales.
  • Helping to improve processes and identify ways of making the handling of cases more efficient.
  • Supporting the allocation and re-allocation of cases, taking into account workloads, previous allocations and client requirements.
  • Assisting with reporting and producing management information on performance, workloads and resource requirements.
What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You'll need to be able to manage competing priorities, work accurately and keep things moving without needing constant supervision.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines at the same time.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence working with different systems and databases.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and adapt when priorities change.
  • A positive, practical can-do attitude and a willingness to get involved.
