Job summary

Fynity in Leeds is seeking an experienced SOC Analyst to sit between L1 and L2, a hands-on role with leadership responsibilities. You will triage and investigate security incidents while also mentoring a small shift of three analysts and acting as their escalation point.

The role progresses from SOC Analyst to Shift Lead and beyond, with a mix of on-site and remote work across a 4-on/4-off pattern. This is a stepping stone into SOC leadership.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SOC experience in a commercial environment.
• Strong incident triage, investigation and escalation skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR.
• SentinelOne experience would be a real advantage.
• Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and common security frameworks.
• Experience with ITSM/ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow.
• Some mentoring, coaching or supporting junior analysts.
• Ready to take their first real step into SOC leadership.

Responsibilities

• Triaging and investigating security incidents with hands-on focus.
• Act as escalation point for a small shift of ~3 SOC Analysts.
• Monitor SLAs, QA tickets and lead shift handovers.
• Coach and mentor junior analysts to raise the capability of the team.
