Job summary

Options Resourcing Ltd is seeking an Electrical Design Building Services Engineer for our Leeds office. You will deliver electrical building services designs from concept to construction across education, commercial, healthcare, residential, leisure and public sector projects.

The role offers technical development, project responsibility and long-term career progression in a collaborative environment. Proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit and Hevacomp/TAS is preferred, with awareness of Part L and BIM

Qualifications

• Electrical Building Services Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a consultancy or design environment is essential.
• Working towards or on a path to IET/CEng is desirable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and engineering software.
• Knowledge of BIM Level 2, Building Regulations (Part L).

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical building services designs from concept through construction.
• Carry out feasibility studies and design calculations.
• Prepare specifications, reports, drawings, and documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across sectors.
• Conduct site surveys, inspections, and condition assessments.
• Represent the consultancy in client and contractor meetings.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and industry guidance.
• Support sustainable, low-carbon design and junior engineers.
• Assist in fee proposals, bids, and project planning.
