Do you possess Maths knowledge and qualifications and think you could engage 16-19-year-old students with interesting and innovative lessons?
The Maths team is a dynamic and versatile team that delivers inspiring and engaging lessons across the whole College. We work closely with the curriculum areas to create sessions that relate directly to the students' vocational qualifications. We deliver excellent courses to meet the needs of around 1500 students on campus whilst maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment.
The successful candidate will be a talented, highly motivated and enthusiastic Functional Skills & GCSE Maths teacher that will contribute to the delivery of our ambitious vision within the Maths team. The ideal candidate will have the ability and drive to inspire diverse groups of young people to achieve their full potential.
You will need to be able to balance high expectations, approaching students with empathy, with strong classroom management and able to break down barriers in learning. With the ability to inspire and motivate learners, by delivering high impact lessons for those retaking GCSE Maths. By delivering a positive classroom environment.
Providing inclusive support, constructive feedback, preparing for exams, and celebrate and drive improvement.
Candidates will have a relevant professional qualification and experience of teaching Maths in a classroom setting. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate students using varied teaching and learning strategies with an emphasis on student progression and differentiation.
