Job summary

Coventry University Group seeks a Lecturer (Teaching) in Learning Disabilities Nursing to deliver education, co-ordinate courses and ensure high-quality student learning. The role is based onsite at the Coventry campus, collaborating with academic colleagues to embed research, enterprise and professional context within modules.

You will teach HE level 4-7 modules, develop materials, and contribute to course improvement while upholding standards of integrity and student support.

Qualifications

• Active and live registration with the NMC as a Learning Disabilities Nurse is essential.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to acquire one if not held is essential.
• Master’s degree or honours with professional qualification is essential.
• PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous.
• Experience teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Learning Disabilities Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach on modules and courses at HE levels 4-7 in Learning Disabilities Nursing, including material creation.
• Coordinate courses and ensure quality assurance in assessments.
• Provide formative and summative feedback to students.
• Support simulated practice learning activities.
• Undertake Academic Assessor duties as required.
• Assist with course recruitment activities such as interviews and open days.
• Maintain high academic integrity across teaching and assessment.
