Job summary

Coventry University Group is seeking a Lecturer (Teaching) in Mental Health Nursing to join the team at the Coventry campus. You will deliver teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate courses, coordinate modules, and ensure high-quality student learning experiences.

Based onsite in Coventry, you will collaborate with colleagues to embed research, enterprise and professional context into modules, and support assessment design and delivery while promoting inclusive teaching practices.

Qualifications

• Active and live registration with the NMC as a Mental Health Nurse is essential.
• Practice Assessor training and experience of supporting student nurses is essential.
• Master’s degree in an appropriate subject or Honours Degree with appropriate professional qualification and/or membership is essential.
• A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one if not already held
• PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Teach on modules and courses at HE levels 4-7 in relevant academic subject areas including curation, adaptation and creation of module teaching materials, delivering a variety of types of students learning sessions and supporting students as appropriate through informal and formal communication throughout teaching blocks.
• Supporting the design, implementation, ratification and quality assurance processes related to student assessment.
• The preparation and dissemination of both generic and specific formative and summative student feedback.
• Supporting our delivery of simulated practice learning activities.
• Undertaking the role of Academic Assessor
• Supporting course recruitment activities such as interviews and open days.
• Upholding high standards of academic integrity in all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment
