Bath College is seeking an experienced Engineering educator to deliver high-quality teaching across classroom and workshop settings, including theory and practical sessions. The role includes pastoral care, assessment, and alignment with Bath College quality expectations.

We are an inclusive community serving learners from entry level to Level 5 programmes. Safeguarding duties apply; DBS checks will be conducted as part of recruitment.

Competenze

• Level 2 English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
• Qualified to Level 3, or equivalent, in an Engineering discipline.
• TAQA Assessor Award (or willing to work towards).
• L5 Teaching Qualification (or willing to work towards).

• To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment processes in accordance with examination requirements.
• To deliver up to Level 4 Engineering standards and programmes using appropriate teaching methods.
• Plans of learning, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
• Plan and deliver specialist sessions in acting using appropriate teaching methods whilst embedding the promotion of diversity within the Engineering industry and the College.
• To co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team.

Job Purpose -

To work with the Head of School and Curriculum Team Leader to deliver a high-quality Engineering curriculum including classroom/workshop, theory and practical teaching. This role will include pastoral, teaching and assessing that meets with Bath College quality expectations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Level 2 (e.g. GCSE) English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
• Qualified to Level 3, or equivalent, in a Engineering discipline.
