Job summary

RNN Group is seeking a Lecturer in Electrical Installations to teach at our Rotherham campus. You will deliver hands-on training across Level 1-3 study programmes, adult courses and apprenticeships, drawing on real-world industry experience to inspire learners.

Based in Rotherham, you will mentor students, set achievable SMART goals, and help design innovative curricula that keep pace with evolving electrical standards and technology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-impact training across Level 1-3 study programmes, adult courses, and apprenticeships.
• Mentor students and support their progression from workshop to classroom environments.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams to develop engaging, industry-aligned learning resources.

Education

A Level 3 Vocational Qualification in Electrical Installations (e.g., 2365, 2357, 5357, Gold Card or equivalent)

Desirable 2391, Inspection and Test & BS 7671 Wiring Regulations

A teaching qualification and Assessor award (or the drive and willingness to work towards them while on the job).

Level 2 English and Maths (or a commitment to achieve these with our support).

Salary: £33,487 (Non-QTS) to £38,487 (QTS) per annum (pro-rata for part-time working), plus benefits

As a Lecturer in Electrical Installations, you won t just be teaching; you ll be mentoring. Department Info

You ll never be working in a silo. Based at our Rotherham campus, you ll be a vital part of a dedicated curriculum team.

You will be supported by a Curriculum Manager and work daily with Curriculum Team Leaders who understand the nuances of construction education. You ll also collaborate with a wide net of professionals including Technicians, Work Placement Officers, and Personal Development Coordinators all dedicated to one thing: the success of our learners.
