Bath College is seeking a qualified and experienced beauty educator to deliver and assess a broad range of Beauty programmes for learners from entry to Level 3. The role includes coordinating schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment records across Bath Campus and other sites.

You will hold a Level 3 Beauty qualification, have at least 5 years in a salon setting, and either hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.

• Minimum 5 years of industry salon experience.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards it.

Responsabilités

• Deliver, assess and internally verify Beauty programmes for a range of learners.
• Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning materials.
• Coordinate and maintain records of assessments and communicate exam entries.

Key purpose - To plan, deliver and evaluate creative and innovative teaching and learning to learners from levels 1-3. To act as Course Leader as deemed necessary. To adhere to and administrate Health and Safety policies and procedures. To assist in the coordination of recruitment, enrolment and induction of students. To contribute towards the planning and effective running of the curriculum and department.

Key Responsibilities

• To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment processes in accordance with examination requirements.
• To deliver, assess and internally verify on a broad range of Beauty programmes to a wide range of learners using appropriate teaching methods
• To deliver departmental requirements of core and additional programmes
• Producing schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
• To co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team.
• To communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course team and students.
• To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department.

• 5 years’ industry salon experience.
