Job summary

The University of Lancashire seeks a Lecturer in the School of Art and Media to lead teaching on the BA (Hons) Art and Design Foundation, contributing to the foundation team's teaching across Illustration, Games Design and Animation.

You will bring practice in visual communication, expertise in Adobe Suite, and the ability to plan studio-based teaching, seminars and workshops, while supporting recruitment and progression for Art and Design pathways.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Illustration, Animation or Games Design.
• Postgraduate qualification aligned with the role is desirable.
• Up-to-date knowledge of digital and craft practices and ability to teach via Adobe Suite.
• Ability to plan and deliver studio-based teaching, seminars, workshops and tutorials aligned with course aims.

Responsibilities

• Teach across the Foundation course, including Illustration, Games Design and Animation.
• Deliver assessment and provide feedback to students; contribute to module leadership and workshop delivery.
• Maintain student records and support recruitment activities (open days and events).
• Guide progression to help students apply to and progress onto Art and Design degrees.
