Job summary

The Sheffield College is seeking an inspiring Lecturer in Engineering to join our teaching team. You will deliver high‑quality engineering teaching across modules, using engaging methods to bring the subject to life and support learner progression.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding teaching and learning in scheduled classes
  • Prepare engaging lesson plans, resources and digital content
  • Design assessments and provide timely feedback
  • Support and track student progress, ensuring all learners thrive
  • Contribute to curriculum development and course reviews
  • Participate in internal meetings, quality processes and CPD
  • Maintain accurate records and meet administrative deadlines
  • Model the College’s FREDIE+ values in all interactions
  • Support wider college activities, including open days, enrolment and exams
  • Occasionally take part in cross-college projects

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an inspiring Lecturer in Engineering to join our dedicated teaching team. This role is ideal for someone who loves their subject, enjoys motivating learners, has a mechanical bias background , and wants to be part of a collaborative and forward‑thinking learning environment.

You will deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of modules, using creative and engaging approaches to bring your subject to life.

Please note that this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK.
