Doncaster College is recruiting an Electrical Installation Lecturer to join our Engineering team. You will deliver high-quality teaching and assessments across Electrical Installation programmes and provide academic and pastoral support to a caseload of students.

We welcome experienced lecturers and industry professionals and offer pathways to professional teaching qualifications if needed. The role emphasizes industry links, inclusive learning, and safeguarding in a dynamic education

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or closely related discipline.
  • Minimum Level 2 English and Maths.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of Electrical Installation programmes.
  • Ability to deliver engaging learning experiences and motivate students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across Electrical Installation programmes.
  • Act as a Programme Tutor, providing academic and pastoral support to a designated caseload of students.
  • Monitor student progress, attendance and achievement, maintaining accurate records and assessment information.
  • Develop innovative and engaging learning experiences using a range of teaching methodologies and learning technologies.
  • Embed English and Maths within vocational learning to support student success.
  • Build and maintain strong links with industry partners to enhance curriculum delivery and progression opportunities.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement activities and student recruitment events including Open Days and information sessions.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment that supports student achievement and wellbeing.

Essential Criteria
  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or a closely related discipline.
