Job Description
South Thames College is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching, assessment, and tutorial support to students, aiming to maximize achievement and foster continuous improvement. The role involves supporting curriculum development, employer engagement, and learner skills development.
The successful candidate will create and implement innovative teaching, learning, and assessment strategies, delivering activities such as lectures, coursework, practicals, and fieldwork for Level 1 to Level 3 students.
Requirements include a teaching qualification (or working towards it), an Electrical Installation qualification (Level 3 or above), and recent UK teaching experience in Electrical Installation within an FE College. Evidence of outstanding teaching, learning, assessment, tutoring, and learner support is essential, alongside a strong working knowledge of current frameworks for teaching, assessment, and quality assurance.
Proven industry experience in electrical systems installation across diverse environments is required.
The role offers a salary uplift of £10,000 for candidates holding specific qualifications, including a Level 3 NVQ Electrotechnical qualification, registration with the JIB as an Approved Electrician or Eng-Tech status via the IET, and a Level 3 assessor qualification such as TAQA.
