About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ashford College for a Lecturer (aka Course Leader/ Subject Coordinator) for Electrical Installation.

As a Lecturer of Electrical Installation, you'll be teaching, supporting and assessing students coursework.

Your role will also include providing support to learners to enable them to achieve their maximum potential and to lead as appropriate on designated study programmes and/or courses, with a key responsibility for ensuring the design, delivery and evaluation of programme.

About You

A Curriculum Lead/Programme Director role may be considered for candidates with the required experience and qualifications.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual who is highly organised, creative, and passionate about delivering engaging, innovative lessons. You’ll have the ability to inspire learners through well-planned sessions and use your strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and colleagues alike.

A key part of this role involves assessing and tracking student progress to inform planning and deliver targeted interventions—ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive and develop the skills they need to succeed.

While previous teaching experience or delivering training in a workplace setting is an advantage, it’s not essential—full training and support will be provided for the right candidate. More important is your positive outlook, empathy for learners, and strong classroom management skills.

Please note that there are two salary scale points for our Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Employees can move up the salary scale once one full academic year of teaching for our group is complete, subject to approval. Therefore, internal applicants may qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification.
