Richmond upon Thames College is inviting applications for a part-time teaching position in the Creative Industries Department. The successful candidate will teach Jazz and Ballet and choreography to UAL level 2 & 3 students, delivering high quality learning for 16-19-year-olds and supporting performance projects.

The post requires an enthusiastic, committed practitioner with the ability to plan and deliver outstanding teaching, with flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends as needed,

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and committed practitioner who has an ability to plan and deliver outstanding teaching and learning to young people aged 16-19 within the Creative Industries Department. You will be required to teach both Jazz and Ballet, and also choreography to UAL level 2 & 3 students looking to progress in the theatrical and commercial industry. Your record for raising standards and being a team player will be key priorities. As part of the dance team you will be involved in performance projects in college as well as with external agencies.

You must have a flexible approach to working patterns and there is an expectation that the post-holder will work evenings and occasional weekends as necessary, in order to provide learners with excellent performance opportunities.

Richmond upon Thames College is part of the Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge College Group (HRUC) and is one of London’s most successful Further Education Colleges providing education and training to 16-19 year old’s and adults from across Richmond, London and Surrey, for over 80 years. We have opened a new building in 2020 and a brand-new technology-focused STEM Centre in 2024.

This exciting and innovative new learning environment is located within the grounds of the current college site, so remains convenient for public transport links – it is adjacent to the A316 and just a short walk from Twickenham rail station and a number of regular London bus routes.
