Job summary

The Lecturer (Teaching) in Building Surveying at PFL College of Engineering, Environment and Science (CEES) will deliver teaching and course coordination across Built Environment modules, supporting undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs to ensure an effective learning experience. Experience with AutoCAD is required; postgraduate qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an appropriate subject or Honours Degree with appropriate professional qualification and/or membership.
• A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one if not already held
• PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous
• Membership of RICS and relevant practical experience are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach on HE modules/classes in Built Environment, Surveying and Sustainability, creating and adapting teaching materials and supporting students throughout teaching terms.
• Engage in professional development and maintain membership of professional bodies to stay current.
• Design, moderation, and quality assurance of module assessments.
• Assessment, marking, and feedback; coordinating marking teams for large modules and reporting results.
• Act as module leader where required and take on course management roles as agreed with School management.
• Provide high quality academic guidance to support retention, progression and employability.
