Job summary

Liverpool City Council in Liverpool is recruiting a Personal Advisor to join the Leaving Care Service. You will work with a group of young people from diverse backgrounds, helping them with transition planning and independent living.

You will need at least a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent, sound knowledge of relevant legislation and entitlements for care leavers, and excellent communication to motivate and support them.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent.
• Sound understanding of legislation and entitlements for care leavers.
• Experience working with vulnerable children and young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support and guidance to care leavers.
• Collaborate with the Permanence Service and multi-agencies.
• Motivate young people to realise their potential and access education, employment, and housing.
• Deliver transition planning and practical skills for independent living.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with partners to achieve best outcomes.
