Job summary

Herefordshire Council is seeking a Personal Advisor for the Leaving Care Team. You will support 16-25-year-olds to access education, training, employment, activities and housing, helping them develop independent living skills.

With a Level 3 qualification in childcare or related field and experience with young people, you will handle complex cases with resilience and strong communication, in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in a relevant childcare or child development discipline.
• Experience of working with young people in a similar supporting role.
• Good understanding of mental health, substance misuse, housing legislation and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support 16-25-year-olds to access education, training, employment, activities and suitable accommodation.
• Help develop skills for independent living and resilience.
